Hours – Full-time

Job Overview

The Senior Designer leads the design process for both internal and external brand commercial spaces. This role requires an expert in utilising AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud to create environments that align with brand identities. The Senior Designer must oversee and run client projects, ensure high standards of design execution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results on every project.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Design Leadership: Aid the conceptualisation and execution of design concepts for commercial spaces that reflect and enhance brand identity. Provide direction and mentorship to junior designers throughout the design process.
  • Client Interaction: Work directly with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements for commercial space designs. Communicate design concepts and revisions effectively.
  • Technical Design: Develop detailed GA product drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Blender. Ensure designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Design and edit presentations, mood boards, and other visual materials using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to final execution, while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure designs are consistent with the client’s or company’s brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive brand identity across all commercial spaces.
  • Presentations & Client Approvals: Create high-quality presentations, renderings, and visual aids to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, facilitating feedback and approval processes.

Skills and qualifications: 

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • In-depth knowledge of design principles, spatial planning, materials, and finishes for commercial interiors.
  • Excellent visual communication skills with the ability to produce compelling renderings, presentations, and prototypes.
  • Strong understanding of brand identity and how to translate it into physical spaces.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D visualisation (i.e. Blender)
  • Familiarity with other design software (Inventor, solidworks, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, etc.) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in designing retail, hospitality, or corporate spaces.
