Finance Director

Sep 4, 2025 | Profiles

Jo is one of the founders of AML, guiding it through the initial stages of development and helping it to get to where it stands today.  He has over 40 years of financial experience in a range of businesses, including owner-managed, PE backed, large multinationals and SMEs.

Jo graduated from Cambridge University with a BA in Economics, before gaining his FCMA accountancy qualification.

He has worked for British Steel, Philips and Chubb Alarms as well as in the property security industry, project management and various manufacturing sectors (wallpaper, electrical transformers, retail furniture).

Jo has a broad range of skills, including acquisitions, MBOs, turnround situations, and mentoring finance teams.

Jo ensured that Andor Management Limited was suitably funded in its initial period of setting-up and trading, successfully negotiating with banks and other finance providers. Jo enjoys the positive, supportive culture at AML – it’s as close to being a family firm as you can get, with all the goodwill and help that brings.

Jo’s perfect day would start with a good long walk in the Yorkshire Dales, followed by a decent meal with friends and family, and finishing with a gig for one of the many bands he follows.
